The room at Royal Residence Negombo had a cozy seating area where I could relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. The flat-screen TV was a nice touch for some entertainment before bed. The private bathroom was clean and convenient. the room had a comfortable and homely feel that made my stay enjoyable.
I personally didn't fancy the tile/marble floor in the double room. But hey, that's just my preference.

They provided us with a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast that was delicious and made us feel right at home. the location of the hotel was great, with easy access to the beach and nearby shops and restaurants. We also appreciated the complimentary late departure, giving us a chance to relax before our flight.
There was a slight strange smell in the room, but it went away once we turned on the ventilation. the room was also basic, but had everything we needed, including AC and a fan.

We had a delightful stay at Royal Residence in Negombo. Anton and his family were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that our every need was met while still giving us the privacy we desired. the room was impeccably clean and comfortable, providing the perfect place to rest before or after our travels in Sri Lanka. Anton even went above and beyond by driving us to the airport in the middle of the night, which we greatly appreciated. the location was also ideal, with the beach and tourist area just a short walk away. Cons: All was good 👍.
